Sean Nelson is best known as the frontman of Harvey Danger. The popular tune “Flagpole Sitta” on the band’s first album 'Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone' helped the album earn a Gold Record. Sean has also recorded and performed with Death Cab for Cutie and The Decemberists. Sean’s contributions to the music community do not end with performing and writing. He has spent 10 years writing and editing articles for The Stranger, and he co-owns Barsuk Records, which has signed acts such as Phantogram and Ra Ra Riot among dozens of others. Given his wide array of accomplishments and comprehensive knowledge of many facets of the music industry, Sean makes for an ideal keynote speaker at the AS Pop Music Industry Conference.
